| On November 19th, 20th and 21st, all General Commanders of the Military Polices and Fire Departments of the 26 States and the Federal District met in Florianópolis. It was the 43rd Plenary Meeting of the National Council of the General Commanders of PM and BM (CNCG PM/BM). Colonel Edson Souza (Cmt PMSC) is, since June 2006, the President of CNCG PM/BM. The Council represents the 49 state military corporations existing in the country.
Rontan once again attended this illustrious event as co-sponsor, exhibiting its newest Lightbar product lines and other novelties in the vehicle adaptation field.
The event’s main topic was “The Participation of Military Polices and Military Fire Departments in the Security Actions at the 15th Pan American Games - Rio 2007". The opening was on the 19th (Sunday) at 7:00 p.m. at the Jurerê Beach Village, with a lecture by the Public Security National Secretary, Luiz Fernando Corrêa.
Among others, the following topics were dealt with during the event:
- Presentation of the security actions at the 15th Pan American Games;
- PROERD – The State of Santa Catarina experience;
- COMMUNITY POLICE – The State of Santa Catarina model;
- ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION – A view about the Atlantic Forest preservation;
- HUMAN RIGHTS – Human rights respect as a counterpoint to the surge of violence;
- Legislation about weapons purchase and bearing;
- New aspects about the state military justice. |
